Lucielle's artwork brings three innovations to contemporary art:
First, the subject matter itself. Throughout art history, artists have not shown the inside of stones. As one of man's highest and most complex expressions, what is art if not a fantastic journey to discover an unknown world?
Second, Lucielle pioneered the creation of the "glass canvas". Instead of using traditional linen canvasses, she hand-weaves glass fibers from the space industry to create her own panels. She then paints with glass and stones resulting in glass sculptural paintings that float on the wall. There are no other experiments in art history of painting with stone colors on glass.
Third, Lucielle's paintings are unique in that the image and its medium are truly interwoven both physically and conceptually. The image is embedded in the material, which is in turn the actual image.
